Well,
Crap.
What else can I say.
The talks have broken off.
The negotiating team has delivered the message that they want our
lines to remain ‘strong’ during this very tenuous time.
I’ve noticed that most of you have remained consistent and
responsive to the needs of the pickets, and I’m very grateful for your
attitude. You are an amazing
group of people. We’ll
really need to care for each other through this difficult and demoralizing
time.
My sincere thanks to Kip for the numerous thank you notes she made
and addressed. Any of you who
know the people to whom these notes belong, please feel free to take them
and deliver them to their rightful owner.
While you’re there, take a peak at the cards – they’re really
quite wonderful.

The pay is in!

2)
There will be a rally, with support from
other Unions (OSSTF etc.) on Thursday at
4:00
, at the Parkedale entrance to the College.
Please join us and invite your friends to support.
This rally is at the request of the central Negotiating Team, in
order to help ‘keep pressure’.
3)
There are extra raincoats in the trailer.
Please feel free to use them at any time – even if you just need
to have an extra windbreak.
4)
Please help me out by keeping record (in
the trailer) of all the donations to the line.
We have a couple of people working on thank you notes for the
donations thus far, and I really want the donors to be aware of our
gratitude.
